Self Afflicted

You have all been kind in your viewing and comments, So I owe this. This is a deterrent. Those who love you should not have to find you this way. Those who love you should listen to your cries for help if they don't want to find you this way.

You know, the first time I saw this I was looking at the dead and the blood but seemed to have missed the demon. Seeing it again and really taking time to look it's more terrifying than the first visit. I hope that people do cry help before getting to this point because sometimes few do and this is the result and then some... So sad. Well done, very emotional piece.

This is one of the most powerful images I have seen... I realize the theme deals with self-destruction, but the image struck me in such a way that it might also imply the struggle of the creative process. Mister E., this image captures the way I feel when the work won't come easy to me, and I have to fight with everything in me to bring it out. The figure here speaks so clearly of the exhaustion, discouragement, and pain I often feel after failing to capture an image. This image will stay in my mind for quite a long time. Excellent work!!

amazing... the inner demon still lurking in the shadows... definitely a heavy message, but so true, and beautifully done...
