What a lovely scene, and I'm curious. Is that a water wheel or what, por favor?

Artist Reply: Old water wheel, no longer in operation, was used, by means of dunkey work, to get water for watering citrus crops fields in Algarve, in the south of Portugal. This was an Arab method, we still preserve. Thanks for your interest.
