Artist comment: "I have painted this lighthouse from several vantage points and never tire of it's beauty and elegance. Whether a clear sky as in this oil painting on canvas, or foggy, or misty rain, this is my favorite lighthouse. In this rendering, I chose a clear sky and late afternoon light, to dramatize the tower and lens. The composition is an 'L' shape and the diagonal of the cliffside is a nice counterpoint to the vertical lines of lighthouse and building and fence."
