This is a beautiful walking path around a local lake that is in park in Hammond, IN, with roses and natural wildflowers. There's also a bike path, picnic area, waterpark, and baseball field and entertainment stage for summer concerts. I've seen herons and swans there, and love to watch the geese with their goslings. I met a woman photographing the variety of birds that come here. The water in this lake is one of the cleanest in the United States because some businesses use some of its water for cooling and filter it before returning it to the lake. Sponges have begun returning, and need unpolluted water. It is a healthy ecosystem.
