Fairy Queen Titania

A 16"x20" acrylic painting on canvas - Titania - the queen of the Faeries - from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She is shown as a beautiful queen, with green and gold hair, shimmering eyes, and sparkling wings. It is set (of course) on a midsummer's night, with a starry sky. Tiny glowing faeries (her subjects) surround her! This image copyrighted © 2004 by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. All rights reserved. Do not use for any reason without express permission from the artist.

I adore this painting!!!! One of the best that you have done! Her eyes are extremely hypnotic (I love the highlights in them), and her features are awesome! I love the way she seems to glow! =)

Titania is truly lit from within! She is a spiritual representation that makes me want to work much harder to do my faery models justice!!
