Part of my "Poissons Volants" series ("Flying Fish)" - combining my love with sea creatures and Rococo era portraiture - "Le Portrait" (the portrait!) features a dewy eyed portrait against a forest landscape amidst many magical winged fish. The flying stingray is a nod to "Ralph the Flying Stingray" which is a comic series I created & used to draw when I was a little girl. I simply love this painting! My original acrylic painting.
