After she got up off the nest and was issuing distress calls I managed to get a couple of photos of her eggs. These things are huge!

Great photograph to test visualization skills, and a clever camouflage photograph also Loyd. My 7-year old nephew enjoyed looking for the eggs in your picture. He saw them in about 10 seconds!
Artist Reply:   Vernonette, thank you so much for the excellent comment, it is very much appreciated. I have to agree on the camouflage as they are quite clever at doing so including themselves when they are on the nest, laying down almost flat and blending in with the nest itself. I am glad that your grandson got a chance to see these as this is the first time that I have been able to capture one on the nest and the eggs as well. Now to capture the little ones when they first hatch, hopefully.

I don't know how you get shots like this but you do a good job!~
Artist Reply:   Elizabeth thank you so much for the excellent comment, it is very much appreciated always. I guess I could tell you, very carefully, but really I just discovered these as I was exploring a new area for me and this is the first time that I have managed to capture the bird on the nest and the eggs as well. I hope to capture the little ones when they first hatch if I can.

  interesting capture..
Artist Reply:   Metin, thank you so much for the great comment, it is very much appreciated always. This is the first time that I have seen these and was fairly sure that not too many others have seen them before so thought it would be nice for them to see them as well. Had to catch these quick as she was becoming more agitated with me as I got closer.

  Good job!!
Artist Reply:   Julie, thank you so very much for the excellent comment, it is truly appreciated always. This was the last shot for me there before I got her too upset and before the rest of them decided to come in there after me. This is the first time that I have seen the eggs and a first time to capture them in a shot.

  FABULOUS, LOYD.
Artist Reply:   Sharon, thank you so much for the excellent comment, it is greatly appreciated. This was the most dangerous part of the shoot being close to the eggs and nest as she started to throw grass and sticks in the air warning me to leave and giving a distress call to the others in the area. It sure was worth the effort to get these though as these are the first ones that I have managed to get like this.
