The sail training ship Niobe

40x50 cm. Oil on canvas The sail training ship Niobe capsized in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Fehmarn. In the accident 69 sailors were killed. On behalf of the German Imperial Navy, the Niobe was used to train the cadets, The sailing ship was after the end of World War II to the bark has been rebuilt.
