Portrait of Blessed Pope John Paul II is in oil on wood and measures, 12" x 9". He instituted the Feast Of The Divine Mercy, celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. I painted his image to be looking toward the rays of the Divine Mercy Heart as seen by St. Faustina as she had them painted on the portrait of Jesus with rays of blue and red light flowing from the merciful heart of Jesus. The painting will be used for the CD cover of the prayers of the Divine Mercy Novina which begins on Good Friday. The CD will include the prayers, as well as hymns by composer and vocalist Dr. Marc Karam.
