Long-legged 'sac' spider

Photo of a spider at Parker River Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in MA, USA. I have NEVER seen this kind before... It actually took me 4 months of searching for someone who knew what kind of spider this guy was. He is a long-legged "sac" spider. The sac is in quotes because while it looks like there is a sac on the abdomen, it is not actually a sac-carrying spider. According to the specialist I found that could identify it, only about 10% of the worlds spiders are cataloged and named/typed.

He is unusual; I've never seen one either. Great shot!

Very interesting specimen. Could it be a garden spider? Hummm.
