A bit of a self portrait I suppose as I am currently packing for our annual sojourn to the seashore. We are going later this year--this ever-so-hectic year--but at least we are going. At the end of the first day as I stand watching the sunset after a far-too-long drive, I am amazed at my own smallness in comparison to the vastness before me. No, sadly, I did not lose pounds on my way over, but all my perceived problems, all the things that can sometimes seem too much back home, suddenly seem entirely insignificant. Would that I could remember that feeling all year. May we all realize that nothing is too big. That the sun going down in such glory will indeed rise again tomorrow. Those waves coming in, always go back out. Original 6 x 6 gallery-wrapped mini painting in the private collection of S. Cannon.
