Ever seen a car with a Chalk-board paint job? Well at the Luckenbach Car Show, now you have! This great little 31 Ford Hot Rod Pick-up is too nicely finished to be considered a Rat Rod in my book. Still, the owner refers to it as such so who am I to argue. And, regarding the paint-job – those flames are drawn on with chalk! How cool is that? Generally I see a RR as more of a “Scrap Rod” – something built up from wrecking yard parts. This great ’31 has chrome wheels, delightful baby moons, finished seats and nice body-work. This is what a well-finished hot rod was back-in-the-day ~:0) I’ll keep an eye open for some serious Rat Rods and post them in the gallery soon – wonder if I could squeeze into this diminutive truck with that channeled body and mildly chopped top – steering-wheel right up to the chest and no room to work the pedals wearing size twelves – Ha! ~:0) VivaChas!
