going deep in the viewers soul!

Artist Reply: Come to think of it, you have a good point. The subconcious area of the mind is an iron curtain of sorts, it protects us from knowing our darker side. Even our dreams are generally in symbols. In our dreams, that nasty boss becomes a real-life tyrant such as that murderour beast who's murdering people in Syria.
Artist Reply: We do have a side of us that we hide from ourselves in the subconious area of the brain.

Hi Karen, thanks for your lovely writing on a painting of mine "Soul of Africa" on another art side. I like this kind of art of you, little mysterious! Good luck with everything!

Artist Reply: Thank you. You have beautiful images yourself.

I read all of the comments concerning this photo and I read how you did it, but to me it just looks like a winter scene, with the snow-covered trees, dark sky and snow-covered ground. All in all, a very interesting photograph. Makes me want to try photography.

Artist Reply: Thank you. You do lots of interesting work yourself. I just added one of your images to my album of favorites. By all means try photography! You can do quite a lot with a camera. Study my photo, VISIONS, originally called MEMORIES is an example of what I mean.

THIS SPECTACULAR GLOW . And do I see a Booster Antenna for Short wave?

Artist Reply: Thank you. Our imaginations can make all sorts of amazing things out of ordinary objects. That "Booster Antenna" is really a flagpole. In a photograph I took and used in my picture, "Dreamwarp", my cell phone became an astronaught's radio.

ruth sears 30 May 2011

this is different and a very inventive trek in filming:))

Artist Reply: Thank you. I took this picture in a negative format.

Sigridur Bachmann 30 May 2011

Very interesting work dear Karen ! Like a negative film.....

Artist Reply: I photographed it in a negative format. I used a negative format in The photographs I used in "Deadly Greed" and "Dreamwarp" too.

THIS IS SO FASCINATING, KAREN. IT'S BEAUTIFUL TOO. LIKE A FILM OVER HALF OF THE IMAGE.

Artist Reply: Thank you. I'm glad you like it. I like using a negative format in some of my photography.
