Because I have so much going on right now in my life, I have painted little. This painting is one I did in 2009 at the Fort Smith Art Center one Saturday. I always felt the background was too dark and knew some day I would paint it the way I wanted. Last night I was going to pack the painting and decided now was the time. I hope that you enjoy it!

Sharon, I love the energy in this painting. And for a still life, that is saying something! The way you've swept those arcs of colors down and back up is an inspired effect. Also like the counterpoint of the table's colors with the background.Anonymous Guest 30 May 2011
The background is not to dark as it makes the vase stand out. If anything I would have lightened the table but all in all it is a wonderful painting.KC CHANG 30 May 2011
