Artist Comments: "This painting was a delight and a challenge to paint with oil on canvas. I used Windsor-Newton professional oil paints and top quality Windsor-Newton pre-primed canvas. I first sketched the subject then painted the background. When the painting was dry to the touch, I meticulously rendered the many and varied kites from the international kite festival at Long Beach, Washington."
