Reconstructed Royal Marines Drum

This originally was just a brass outer shell of a Royal Marine drum case found in an antique shop in the UK. My job was to reconstruct it by giving it an undercoat and fully painting the crest as you see it in the photograph. The drum is now fully frogged and has it's drumskin and is played for Royal Marine parades.

Sure looks great, I'm sure they really appreciate it and the effort

Artist Reply: Thanks. Oh yes, they did, do appreciate it. It gets used a lot. There are step-by-step images of it being done on the web site, just use the link or go to andreawood.co.uk Thanks again
