Founded in 1897, the Scranton Lace Company manufactured everything from lace (big surprise) to vinyl shower curtains to parachutes, and in its heyday had 1,600 employees. One of them was Hillary Clinton's father. It closed in 2002. Copyright 2011 Don Struke
