This self portrait I painted from a photo taken mid June this year by my dear friend Annette Labedzki's husband, Andrew. Painting from this was something I never considered since portraits/people are really not my thing, but I must say that after painting 3 self portraits in a row, this one was easier. I am so happy to see you working and finding satisfaction in work...your portraits are lovely but not near as lovely as the real you.....it does get easier to do and to see where improvement can come...(that is one of the reasons why I do my portraits in only pencil... so I can always drop back in and work some more on them) mine are never really finished until I let them go....but paints and color are so lovely and your work is exceptional and inspiring me to try new things as well..you are truly a wonderful friend and sister.....keep them coming they and you are truly lovely.....Pamela Benjamin 26 Dec 2010
