President Jimmy Carter Transferring Panama Canal

In this very sad time, I found the photos I took at Miraflores Locks in Panama Canal Zone in 1999. There were only about 5 of us Americans invited and in attendance for this historical event that day. Panama's President Mireya Moscoso is on the left in white and past President Jimmy Carter on the right. I hope that you enjoy!!!

Seeing such events makes it clear, that there is a long way to go to unite the world. My first utopia would be taken care of the own people in a country, where leaders change waepons for machinery and to do what it is all about...

David Scott 27 Nov 2010

Very good Sharon, though it was sad to turn over something we were responsible in building and the great lost of life due to the illness of those that worked on the canal. We I believe have made a bed so difficult to sleep in that we can never get to ever enjoy a good nights rest. The photos are amazing. David
