8" x 10" colour pencil on card stock. This is beside one of the canoe portages on the White River in Pukaskwa National Park about one kilometer north of the Lake Superior shoreline minutes from the swing bridge on the Coastal Hiking Trail.

Looking at this reminds me of the trunk skeletons that I saw when I was living on Quadra Island in B.C. The lighting, the movement, the life still inside the wood all comes through.
