Artist Comments: "When the brown pelicans migrate through Washington State, they are a wondrous sight on the beach. Sometimes they are gathered in flocks and sometimes solitary. My research revealed that gulls will pester a pelican when it is feeding until it gives up it’s catch to the raucus seagull. In this pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper, I focused on the tension between these two birds. The cool gray of the scene sets off the warm tones in the faces and feet of the ‘seagull and pelican’.”

"Seagull And Pelican" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board.
