I've been painting since 1959 and sold my first painting at the age of nine years old in 1960 .I am self taught with no formal education although I've studied on my own most of my life . It seems to come natural ,painting various subjects and different styles ,my passion is to paint art that touches people. I paint native Americans in their everyday life as they were of old because life was based on respect,honor,humility,truths and family. The Souix Indian believed that everything in life was connected and in essence was alive, water, wind and the grasses of the prairie. If we respect it, it will in turn respect us.Few americans know that when a Souix brave brought down a bison with his bow or lance he would dismount and kneel beside the animal and offer up a silent prayer of thanks for the animals life that his people could survive.
