After the exuberant flower series, the latest paintings from Esther Post have a well-known theme in the Dutch Scool of painting, the interior picture. In this case it are hotelrooms from tourist hotels like anywere else. The stereotype impersonal rooms are emphasized by the technique used by Esther Post. At times the guests have a single contact with eachother. But mostly on lives for themselves or is in the room with its own image. The smooth impersonal method and in some paintings the evident traces of the computer emphasize the desolate atmosphere of the painting in spite of the somtimes warm even gay colours and designs. This serie is until now the highlight in the oevre of Esther Post and marks an aspect of the great interior painters from the 17th century till now
