At an early age, Leslie Carty's artistic talents couldn't go unnoticed. From the first time he picked up a crayon, it was obvious that Leslie had the dexterity to draw exactly what he saw. While pursuing his artistic endeavours in high school, he excelled in all aspects of his art programs as he continued to further his drawing and painting skills. This was also the place where Leslie picked up his first airbrush. Upon graduating, Leslie was hired by King of Kings Customizing, a custom car body and paint shop. Leslie's airbrush illustrations of Conan Warriors, Dragons and beautiful women graced the sides and hoods of cars and vans throughout the 80's. The cars he worked on won awards and his reputation grew as the man to have paint your car. Les worked within the auto industry painting cars as well as doing canvases for exhibition during the 90's. In late 1999, Leslie focused his eyes toward animation, and a computer and a mouse. It was back to school at the Vancouver Film School, studying classical animation and 3D animation. His background in painting and illustration made this transition an easy one. Now he could make his ideas come to life. Draw something and animate it. Working from photo's to create a photographic quality digital room to recreate the one that no longer exists. Since graduating from Vancouver Film School in 2000, Leslie has worked for Mercury Filmworks, where he worked on shows such as: Yvon of Yukon, the Power Puff Girls movie, Rescue Heroes, and Woody Woodpecker. Recently, Leslie worked for Beetle Box Media, creating 3D sets for 'Comitium' for Bravo TV's Bravo Facts. Les says, "Painting is still my first love, animation just takes it to the next level."

Leslie currently owns a custom paint and restoration and auto detailing shop in east Vancouver
