I have been active in land conservation in Florida for more than a decade. My paintings are all composed by re-creating elements of things that I have seen along the way, things that have inspired or fascinated me, things that seem important to share. In each painting I try to emphasize the thing that had the biggest impact on me; but that's the funny thing about memories: while they are based on a real image, they are shaped by emotion and colored by imagination. I paint with enamels because I like the way they cast light and make highlighted features stand out.
