I was born in USSR, grew up in Siberia and currently living and working in New Jersey USA.
For the last decade i have been exploring masculinity and the average man's beauty in my work, my message is that everybody is equally beautiful and I don't consider my work to be homo-erotic. Personally I think male nudity is way underrepresented in arts and media and to this day by many considered a taboo. To me what a true nude is about exposing a naked ordinary person, not masked by a gym built facade, telling its unique story by showing the marks, scars, wrinkles, and spare tire that are the land marks of its journey. My work is not meant to shock - just shake some stereotypes about what is 'appropriate' and 'normal'. Like one of my friends said: 'Normal - is a setting on your dryer'.
