I am a professional artist residing in the Seattle-area. My favorite medium is pen and ink. I also do work in colored pencil and graphite. I have been drawing ever since I can remember. My formal biology education provides me a sense of detail in my renderings. Living in the Pacific Northwest allows me to have access to wildlife from the mountains to the ocean. All my work is based on experiences I had observing nature and studying my subject matter. I like birds, especially their shapes and colors, and try to capture their spirit and personality.
