I'm a professional Graphic Artist/Designer. I currently work for a newspaper in Westchester County, NY and before that worked for two newspapers in Dutchess County, NY. Besides newspaper design, I have designed signs, posters, stationary, fliers, website banners, ads, logos, bookmarks, advice cards truck signs and more. I do freelance work on the side, designing corporate identity for businesses, layout of publications and whatever else is asked of me. I am experienced in graphic art/design, photography, drawing using different types of media, website updating, painting and sculpture.
I have had two works of art displayed in a gallery -- "Curiosity" and "Style and Class" -- which were chosen by a panel of judges.
I attended the New York Press Association awards and seminars with North County News in 2006 and 2007. We placed 2nd place for General Excellence in 2006, 3rd place for Best Special Section Cover and 1st place for Best Front page in 2007. Prior to my arrival at NCN, they have never won design awards so it was a very rewarding feeling.
At the FCPNY Graphic Awards in 2009, I won first place for a Classified Display Ad I designed for Chase Media Group.
