I am FionaB (the b is my middle initial), a big-eyed artist born and raised in Australia, now living in Maine USA, with my husband and two boys. I use a lot of mixed media tools, like watercolor pencils and paints, acrylic paints, oil pastels and sometimes pencil sketches. I love the way all these mediums can be used together it on their own, creating various textures and techniques. I am a self taught artist, and I have to say I am still learning as I go. I have big eyes myself, and was often bullied in school because of this. I have since learned to appreciate big eyed girls and art, which is why I portray the big eyes girl in my work. I find inspiration in everything from music, horror and Gothic genres, dreams of mine and nature itself. Within my work, I look to recreate my interpretation of the beauty I see everywhere, and put this into everything I create.’
