My professional experience as a Freelance Artist has been with a variety a art related projects and murals; International Government projects and residential projects. I have been a freelance artist for 23 years. I specialize with the following mediums: oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, prizma pencils, airbrush, and a new form of Fresco called: Fresco De La Pena. I have include an explanation on how the medium received it's name.

Acheivments: 2000- Co-founder of Cuadro Arte Latino Internacional of Tucson Arizona in 2000, An organization founded by 4 artists: Arturo Valenzuela, Miguel Grijalva, Zoro, and Pupe. the organization was responsible for bringing foreign artworks and artists to exhibit for open studio tours, and organizing intercultural events.

2007- Co-founder of -El Patronato de Kino- The Kino Foundation in Tucson AZ. An organization responsible for promoting the historical legacy Eusebio Fransisco Kino. By arranging intercultural events, art exhibits, and designing promotional material.

Major Projects: In 2008 I painted a mural in the Government Palace at Magdalena Sonora Mexico. I was commissioned by former President Adriana Hoyos. The title of the mural is: El Poder De La Fe (The Power of Faith). The topic of the mural was based on Eusebio Fransisco Kino. The medium I used was: Fresco De La Pena

In 2009 I was commissioned by Arizona's former governor Janet Napolitano, to produce a painting for Sonora Mexico's former governor Eduardo Bours. Both Janet Napolitano and Eduardo Bours were governors at the time and participated in a gift exchange event. We attended the event at the House of Governor in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico. At the event, Janet Napolitano handed the painting to Eduardo Bours.

In 2010 I was commissioned by former President Chavarin Melesio who was president at the time and made the request for me to paint another mural in the Government Palace in Magdalena Sonora Mexico. The title of the mural is: Favores Celestiales (Celestial Favors). The medium that I used was Fresco De La Pena.

How the medium received its name: Fresco De La Pena.

In 2008 Adriana Hoyos who was president at the time requested the I should paint a mural in the Government Palace in Magdalena Sonora Mexico. She specifically requested that I should use a new Fresco medium that International Muralist: Nereo(Galileo) De La Pena created and had utilized many years prior in murals that he painted in Trento, Italy and Mexico.

I displayed an art series based on Kino in El Festival Kino, an event that took place in Magdalena. It was then that I was introduced to Nereo (Galileo) De La Pena, it was the beginning of a spiritual journey and we developed great friendship. He taught me the technique under his limited circumstances. Nereo was suffering from Parkinsons severly, and was in a wheel chair. When I painted the mural El Poder de la Fe (The Power Of Faith), I included Nereo's portrait in the mural, in honor of Nereo. Nereo attended the inauguration of the mural and was profoundly touched to see himself rendered in his own medium.

Within time there was a change in administration due to elections, and the mural required a second section because it was located in a stairway that split in two directions left and right. By 2010 Chavarin Melesio the new president at the time requested the second section. I was commissioned and my goal was to complete the mural and present it to Nereo completed during the second inauguration.

One month before completion I was notified that Nereo needed to talk to me urgently. During my visit, his wife explained that his stage of Parkinsons was fatal, he could no longer speak correctly but he managed to explain his experience. He said that he dremt a voice that told him that the time had come and he had to pass his brushes to the next elect. He pointed out the brushes that he wanted me to take.

6 hours after I had completed the mural, I received a phone call and was notified that he had passed away.

I named the medium: Fresco De La Pena.
