"In Memory of Dolores" is a painting I gifted Dolores's family since I couldn't attend her celebration of life this year, This wonderful neighbor and friend gave me many beautiful orchids from her amazing collection. She lived with her family who are our dear neighbors as well. She will be missed. Rest in peace sweet lady. Mahalo and Aloha.

A loving tribute and honorable memorial. I’m touched by revealing your Proustian connection with the flower - so much more poignant knowing that. Very deep. As an artist I know Tribute Art evokes many memories during its creation - Artist often layer their precious memories together with their painting strokes - when the Artist looks at their finished work she can relive those memories as she recalls what she was thinking when she made particular strokes. Is that your experience too?
