Click for larger view Great to be at ArtWanted, 'upgraded' from my past Artfolio involvement.....Thanks to all those for the creation of this amazing site, with very easy and cutting edge uploading abilites, with multiple imaging and more.

I've been a 'Parson-Potter" for over 30 years, combining theology and pottery in a fluid way. To be able to create communion chalices, large baptismal bowls as well as beer steins and large wheel thrown and altered sectional ceramic sculptures. I am a 'professional' so to speak as a potter, always doing it part time out of my personal studio and selling and displaying locally as a resident artist in St. Cloud, Minnesota (Central Minnesota). I am one of the 12 resident artists at 'The Healing Arts Center' at Recovery Plus, through the St. Cloud Hospital. There are 12 artists chosen for 12 months, each with their own expertise (painting, clay, photography, poetry, sculpture, clowning and more). Each artist works for a month with clients to assist them in their art passion and personal recovery.

I've been a 'Johnny Come Lately' when it comes to 'professional' photography and writing. I'm just completing my first book with over 40 personal photographs (to be published through Amazon.com in the near future, entitled "Beyond Humpty Dumpty"). I realize It's impossible to separate one's art obsession in one field (drawing, painting, pottery) from other areas, photography, writing, music. It's holistic, fluid, as it should be. For this same reason I love choosing a period of fine arts such as "Baroque" and realize how the majority of the arts at that time, music, painting, sculpture, poetry, prose, etc., all relate to that style and understanding. Enuf said....it's a 'job hazard' as far as one is hard-wired and living out that 'wiring'.

Again, it's a blessing to be here. Thank you to all of you who have already left encouraging comments, and how inspiring for me to see so much of your inspiring work in such a variety of categories. It will take a few weeks here for me to categorize my uploads from my personal pottery pieces for display or sale, and my photography for display, sale, or both........A beautiful slow but sure process.

(I'm still waiting for a 'sub-category' under the submission of art work to be "sculptural' or 'ceramics' or 'sculptural ceramics' or something to that end.....I'm sure it will be here soon.)

Peace and Healing through Art!
