Self Portrait

Charles seeks to capture the complete range of light, taming highlights and illuminating shadows to produce bold saturated colors in the Southwestern tradition.

All of his work is much more vivid and intense on art paper than can be represented in the sRGB of the internet.

He began photography in high school, joining the photography club. Worked as a fine art film photographer for over fifty years. Charles has recently fully embraced digital photography.

He resides in Taos New Mexico; The Land of Enchanted Light.

He has lived in and photographed the Rocky Mountain West for over 45 years.

After exhaustive research, he has selected Crane & Co. Museo® Max™ as his preferred fineart watercolor rag paper (see my BLOG for more about this paper) printing it with eight color archival dye ink.

These prints will look stunning, framed with double matts in an 18"x24" Custom Italian frame glazed with Museum Glass® See my BLOG for more about the Glass.

He also offers canvas Giclées up to and including 40"x60" on Breathing Color Brilliance Chromata White Matte Canvas using Epson Ultrachrome K3 and K3 Vivid pigment inks. Wrapped and stretched onto heavy frames, fully laminated Produced by master craftsmen in Taos under his supervision. All art from the artist is signed.
