Laura Grisham Fine Art Biography: I am a former school teacher and have taught kindergarden through 12th grade. Although I am licensed to teach Art, I do not have an art degree. But the test I had to pass to GET that license was a tough one! So, I am a retired school teacher on SS Disability due to Sjogren's Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I paint nearly every day...it helps me forget about the pain and it's how I worship. Currently, I am painting "Pooch Portraits" and doing very well with my commissioned work. I pray as I paint these special dogs and it shines through in their eyes. I love what I do and realize that if I had not been sick I wouldn't be doing what I am doing...God is good even when things seem to be bad! My work is basically acrylic and oil pastel on canvas. Most of my dog portraits are commissioned and the smallest size I sell is a 20x20...I can't seem to capture the dog's personality on a smaller size. I hope that you get a twinkle in your eye as you view my paintings. Blessings, Laura L. Grisham Groups audience: "Pooch Portraits" by Laura
