Artist Bio

Equine artist, Lisa Wald-Guarino resides in Pawtucket, RI. She has loved to draw since childhood. Her favorite subject matter for drawings was always Horses. From her first pony ride, she was taken by their gentleness and beauty

One of her first exhibits was with the Randolph Art Associations Spring Exhibit where she entered her “Horses” into the student exhibit. She received a first place ribbon.

Further pursuing her talent and passion for art, she attended Southeastern Massachusetts University and got her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She sent her portfolio and samples out to many publishers. When she seemed to come up dry, she pushed onward, and created Lisa’s ART & Horses. Her husband and her had purchased a computer and she decided to make her art business a reality. She created her website with the help of a friend and became pretty web savvy. She set up her table of t-shirts, cards and magnets at a couple of local horse shows, and found some local tack shops to sell her t-shirts.

She enjoys going to horse shows for exposure and being around the horses. She at one time took riding lessons and showed. Though she’s never owned her own horse, she dreams of some day making that a reality.

She continues to exhibit her work with a few local art associations and the Equine Art Guild.
