Click for larger view I beleive this mural is on a wall about 15 feet long and 12 feet high, perhaps larger I need to measure.

It is in a tattoo shop called "Kill Devil Tattoo" right next to my work. Another Artist sketched out the basic layout on the wall using a projector and blew in some of the color and outlines with a airbrush. But he was unable to complete the image and for two months it remained only 'blocked in'.

I offered to go in a finish the mural and have done my best to stay respectful of his idea. The faces of the Geisha were nothing but a few pencil lines on a blank wall. I painted them and all the details that you see. Originally some of the image contained florescent colors, which I do not have so it all had to be repainted in regular acrylic artist paints.

I am getting close to completion and wanted some ideas for the upper background that is just flood painted white over the original gold wall.

thanks Sarah

This past Sunday, May 18th 2008, some of my Artwork was featured on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, almost unknown to me. It turns out that the journal that I gave Paige Hemmis more than a year ago was in a scene where she was designing a Ballerina room for a two year-old little girl. It was in frame long enough for several friends to recognize it and tell me about it. Bad me, I must have been out of the room or asleep when that part originally aired. Luckily with the advent of Tivo and screen capture technology another friend made a screen capture and a mini video of that sequence. Sure enough it was the same journal that I remember giving her in Longs, SC at the build for the Wilson family.
