ABOUT THE ARTIST I was born in woonsocket, R.I. on march 30, 1948. At 6 months I was abandoned on the doorstep of an orphanage. When it closed a short time later, I was placed in state custody. The state placed me in a foster home where I was abused and neglected for two years. At age 3, I was still unable to stand or walk without help. In 1951 I was placed in a new forter home with the wright family. My health improved quickly and I was adopted by them in 1953.

I attended public schools untill the 10th grade. After school I went to work in a federal employment program for youth, called Neighborhood Youth Corp... I received my G.E.D.in 1970 and enrolled in classes at Johnson & Wales college, where I received an Associates Degree in Business Administration in 1973.

After college, I worked at entry-level management positions untill I was injured in an industrial accident. After three years and 9 surgeries, I returened to college at the Community College of R.I.. I attended classes in the Fine Arts Program, maintaining an "A" average and being placed on the deans list. This allowed me to take several advance classes with the Director of the art department.

The Art While most of my early art work was in Pen & Ink and of historical buildings and landmarks, I also work with acrylic paint, Gouache and acrylic inks, adding my pen & ink detailing. By adding this detailing to my paintings has allowed me to develop a special style of my own, which expresses my love of details.

I have an extensive portfolio of artwork for my customers to view and purchase from. It containes pen & ink drawings of historical building of R.I., Mass., conn., washington D. C. and New York city. I also have drawings of american lighthouses and covered bridges. My paintings include american and world lighthouses, covered bridges, classic fire trucks, classic and hot rod cars, motorcycles, boats, flowers, victorian designs and my own style I called structured abstracts.

Over the next few weeks I plan to upload samples of each style and subject for you to view. I also plan on selling my artwork thought this site.
