we have had enough war. lets bring our soldiers home and in the same process... keep our billions of tax dollars going to our own economic crisis, not fighting another war in a distant land...for OIL. its time for a change... alternative energy is a good start.

Just read an article on how the growing phenomena of bottled water has reached the 10's of billions of dollars. I personally believe it's a huge marketing scam, and one that promotes the overuse of plastic containers. Most water brands are packaged in plastic, derived from crude oil, polyethelyne-terepthalate (PET) Those containers are transported on diesel trucks, or shipped from exotic destinations generating more greenhouse gases. It is the most environmentally egregious way to distribute water in the history of the planet. Only 14% of these containers are recycled. Americans chug more than 30 billion single serving bottles of water a year. THERE IS A BETTER WAY.

Our sympathy goes out to all those suffering from the terrible fires along the coast of California. This area used to be my home too, and I am deeply sorry for the plight of all those who have lost their homes during this crisis. Our prayers go out to all of you.

news flash: SPHELAR... is a new eco breakthrough from Japan. It is a solar cell that absorbs sunlight coming from any angle, converting light into electricity (energy). As some of you know who are following this phase of technology, this replaces the flat photovoltaic cells that have dominated the market and limited the use. Thanks to its thin, flexible and transparent frame, Sphelar can be easily sandwiched between panes of glass or incorporated into curved objects, eliminating the need for costly equipment that must be moved to catch the rays as daylight changes.

A bit busy this month..will try to dust off the old typewriter and get some thoughts for this section of the archive. The global warming phenomena has more than a few of us mortals in peril for the future of our planet, for the future of our children. Can a civilized people be so careless in the face of ultimate loss? It seems many are in denial and do not believe or even percieve that our lifestyle of consumption and pullution has poisoned our world. That we can just go on without guilt or consideration...allowing the greed to control our destiny.

For all of my visitors/guests and friends who are tuned in to this particular archive of artworks, first, I wish to thankyou for your kind comments which I read once a week. Unfortunately, it is impossible to respond as I would like to with such a limited schedule. It is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the volume of entries. Again...I thank you for your thoughts and comments and appreciate your kindness.
