AntiPopLtd is an art collective from Philadelphia. It's conception being a response to what is becoming a totalitarian media complex that bombards us with information and ideas that may or may not objective or independent of their corporate and political agenda's. We are the sum total of a generation nutured by television, playstation, and bad pixar blockbusters. A public school system taken over by the state has left us bereft of culture, artistic intent, or even basic individuality.We have been duped to the point that even our counterculture is corporate sponsored. Pop/Punk bands indistinguishable from one another, "alternative" clothing selected and available at your nearest shopping mall, rebellion prepackaged for consumption by youths who have nothing to be dissaffected by. Our Art was born out of contempt for popular culture's contrived enterprise, and the media's perpetuation of it. In the environment we were raised we see little need to explore innocuous subject matter thereby ignoring the world around us.
