Artist statement: Art is a powerful medium, it can convey emotions and it can profoundly affect its viewers. Whether it is painting a picture, writing a poem or playing music, partaking in creative expression can lift the load of everyday hardships. I believe in the healing quality of the arts and believe it is a platform to reflect on the things of this life. Lets face it, having problems is in the job description for being human. We are indeed “flawed beings in a fallen world” and we need hope in times of great despair. So whatever your passions may be, as long as you do them with all your heart, mind, and soul, you will not live your life in vain.
