I've been drawing since I was 4 yrs old. Painting seriously after turning 40. I have received basic art training as part time student both in the UK and in Switzerland. Attended life drawing and painting courses regularly over the last 20 yrs. I love to paint portraits and landscapes in all mediums. When I have time I create etchings. My style is representational but I experiment a lot. Capturing the light and atmosphere is my main goal in landscapes. The difficult art of portraits and figure painting is a never ending challenge for me and, if I ever have a next life, you'll find me still at it! Among my favourite artists are Monet, Whistler, J.Singer Sargent, Velasquez, Serolla and today, Edward Seago, Ken Howard, Matthew Alexander, Andrew James, Kevin Macpherson, Bob Rohm, Emil Gruppe and Lucien Freud. I enjoy teaching drawing to children.
