Lester Matthew was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is a retired art teacher who continues to work in the public school system at the elementary level. While he most enjoys working with acrylics, he also experiments with other media, including pen and ink, collage, markers, and watercolors. In addition, he is an avid photographer and writer.
