Dominique Boutaud was born and raised in Nice, France. Since childhood she has always been involved in creative works of all kinds, starting with drawing that she would often make in company of her father. In her life, through her training, she gained technical familiarity with expressive works in many media, including weaving, leather, candle making, cartonnage, macrame, iron, wood later patchwork. She has always been motivated to learn and be exposed to different art techniques and took advantage during her stay in foreign countries to study. As such, she has made an effort to grow as an artist. She moved to Boston, USA in 1996 and since this time she continued to develop her artistic talent. She did exhibit around the world from USA, Spain, France, Monaco, Germany, Switzerland, to China and Italy and became an International artist.

After many years focused on still life and landscape in oil painting, she moved around 1996 toward abstract painting that enables her to freely express feeling and impressions of life. Her colorful paintings are linked with movement and event in life. They represent a quest for meaning, emotions, authenticity and an expression of hope.
