Jan Blencowe helps people bring the beauty and serenity of nature and the joy of color into their lives through her original paintings. She loves sharing her passion for color, light and texture in paintings with others, and teaching others to understand, appreciate and make art.

Her work is in galleries across the country, and in private collections around the world.

In 2005, Blencowe began selling her work on the internet, maintaining a website www.janblencowe.com, and several blogs, including www.thepaintingadayproject.com, where she posts new paintings, nearly everyday. Her work is widely collected across the nation and has been written about in the NY Times, Domino Magazine, and the Lexington Herald Leader. Her work has also been featured on Mastercard’s blog priceless.com as well as numerous other places on the internet. In 2006 she began teaching a seminar for artists to help them get their work on the internet and take advantage of the opportunity to get their work seen by thousands of people. Blencowe shows artists how for little or no money they can have a professional looking website, accept credit card payments and advertise their work.
