I believe that if it is hard to do then it isn't art from the soul.

I am an artist in Dayton, Ohio who loves to work with different mediums and textures; depending on my mood, of course! I don't believe that you need a degree to create and/or enjoy art. My art can be very colorful and is definitely unique. I attended the Dayton Art Insititute in Dayton, Ohio and other classes on and off but I am mostly self taught. I have been creating art since I was a child. I finally decided to stop allowing things to get in my way and began pursuing my art more seriously thinking that if I don't try I'll never know whether people like my art. So with lots of encouragement from my family and friends I have embarked on this endeavor.

Among some of my subjects I like to create ladies who are doing everyday things or even some outrageous things and what they all seem to have in common is that they are real with a real woman's body, not a fictional one that little girls starve themselves to copy. I have heard comments about my work that have convinced me to continue depicting my ladies in this way. I really just try to have fun with creating my art. I have sat down to create one type of image and wound up with something totally different. So I really never know what I'll do!
