Annette Allwood was born on August 8th 1966 in Wangen Um Allgau, Germany. Moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1967 then Immigrated to Australia in 2001, where she has lived in Sydney's Northern Beaches ever since. Annette has travelled to every State in Australia from 1997-2003. During that time also travelled to Canada. USA, and Europe, where she completed several Collections shown and sold in Canada in Solo and Group Exhibitions. Annette's interest in Art started at a very early age, consistently receiving A's for Art Class in High School. Generally self-taught in 1979 Annette was chosen in a Vancouver Art Institute was rated most promising Artist for that year in her age group. Annette suffered depression 1982-1987 she was treated,then was diagnosed many years later with a mental illnesses which continues to be a struggle has had negative yet positive affects. During Annette's 15 years as a Professional Artist she has won many prestigious awards in Canada, USA and the UK. Annette has painted and sold not only Original pieces but hundreds of Custom-made Artworks ranging from $325- $5000. Annette is known for her colourful, energetic and uniquely mesmerizing style, in catagories such as Abstract; Seascape; Landscape; Portraits; Flora; Design and Compositions (several positions of a subject in one Painting).
