Self Portrait

Born in France, now living in sunny Arizona, USA. WELCOME to the corners of my imagination! Here, the viewer, has to give meaning to the sensory input received by the visual system and the brain, in other words you have to use your imagination! I always find a little bit difficult to classify theses pieces under categories as they are a cross between photographs, digital effects and some mystery ingredient! The graphics showing in this gallery were in NO WAY hand-painted nor repainted to reach their final appearance, they are the PURE end-results of a happy combination of pictures (usually flowers or plants), Paint Shop Pro, a few plug-ins, patience and Faith! The most prolific are roses, some flowers are sterile, not all will grace me with a surprise! If I unleash my imagination, I tend to believe that each flower has its own spirit ready to come out! Some are sweet, loving or playful, some are daring, a few have a huge sense of humour! All are here to entertain you! By the way the concept of discovering the unusual in photographs is not new. Kjell B Sandved nature photographer for the Smithsonian Institution, one day discovered a perfect letter "F" on a wing of a butterfly. It took him more than a quarter of a century to find all 26 letters of the alphabet and also a few numbers. "All finite things reveal infinitude!" (Theodore Roethke) **There is a link on this page where you actually can see the flower-matrix along with its final outcome on the card-version!
