ARTIST STATEMENT: Painting is a way of life. Some artists do art for the fun of it while others do art because they must. I place myself in the both groups. I must create and see painting possibilities everywhere I travel. I love to paint landscapes with big skies, open fields, distant mountains or hills. At the same time I must become one with the scene. Living in Southern Oregon allows me ample opportunities to view beauty close up! I paint en plein air whenever possible and also do studio painting in watercolor and pastel.
