Artist Bio

After spending 20 years in the British Navy I decided to continue my education as a mature student at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. I graduated in 1993 with a BA(Hons) Degree in Design for Communication Media. I immediately left the UK for Amsterdam in Holland to research and produce a book: Theatre Models in Paper and Card for the Guild of Master Craftsmen. The book was published in 1998. I returned to UK and trained in computer software: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. This allowed me to aquire work with the Terrence Higgins Trust a Natioal HIV & Aids Charity where I was their in-house designer and webmaster for 3 years. I moved to France in 2003 to pursue a career as freelance illustrator but left for 6 months in Amsterdam to provide illustrations for advertising agencies, magazines and childrens clothes shops. I am back in France now happily living in Brittany as a freelance illustrator and web designer.
