Traditional art materials have been replaced by the electronic pixel, computer software and personal printer. With an emphasis on color, texture and balance, simple images are used from nature's diverse canvas and crafted into distinctive digital portraits. I call these images the "PhotoArt Collection".
Continuing with the theme of "nature", I have included a small series of traditional cut-paper illustrations that predate the PhotoArt Collection. They were created by hand-cutting and overlapping numerous pieces of custom, acid-free, silk-screened paper. The style is vibrant, unique, playful and very colorful. It appeals to the child in all of us.
